Super Stew event - 13th December
We are running a Super Stew event on Tuesday 13 December in our Over 55s Warm Room at The Old Fire Station Community Centre. There'll be a delicious and hearty vegetarian stew, coffee, tea and biscuits, plus festive music. All free of charge. People can also take part in a Falls Prevention Class and an Egyptian Dance (women only). Let's Get Warm! |

Annual General Meeting and Open Evening 2017

The theme for the Open Evening & Annual General Meeting this year is user involvement. To tie-in with this, local resident – Dr Lynne Friedli – will be speaking about community involvement and the benefits it brings to both individuals and neighbourhoods.
We will be offering free complementary therapies, provided by the Stress Project, and home-cooked food and refreshments.

The Music of Bond performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra
The Music of Bond performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra
A terrific night out was had at the Royal Albert Hall listening to the classic theme tunes from the James Bond movies. Orchestral versions of the title themes were played with some great vocalists covering the classics and also some of the lesser known pieces.
It was generally agreed to have been huge success and a lot of fun.
