Admin volunteer
Administrative support is required across both our centres to support with data entry, responding to enquiries and calls, and updating records.
front of house volunteer
At our busy and vibrant community centre we welcome a wide range of people to our activities, support and information. As a Front of House volunteer, your role will be to help to make sure that our centre offers a warm, caring and enjoyable experience to all our visitors. This may involve taking messages, supporting visitors, maintaining a clean entranceway, and be a key contact for enquiries.
social media volunteer
A Social Media / Marketing Volunteer would support our Administrator in creating content for use across all our social media pages. This could include filming clips and pictures, editing and creating short-form content, designing posters and planning posting schedules.
activity assistant
At our busy and vibrant community centre we welcome a wide range of people to our activities, support and information. As an Activity Assistant your role will be to make sure we are set up for our free activities on time, and also to clear away after activities. Some of our activities need an assistant during the activity. You could come in once a week to help set up or clear away after a single activity, or you could volunteer for a whole activity and take part in helping it to develop. Setting up could be something as simple as moving chairs and tables or could involve setting out refreshments and materials as well.
wellbeing group facilitator
Our Wellbeing Group is every Tuesday, 10:30-12:00, which offers wellbeing activities such as creative crafts, ear acupuncture, and gardening. Volunteers will be required to provide a supportive environment for individuals coming in, many of whom are regulars, offering support, signposting where necessary, and be able to offer encouragement and be non-judgemental.
in-touch volunteer
Supporting people who are facing social isolation by maintaining regular telephone contact – making time for a friendly chat and signposting to support services.
gardening volunteer
Our Gardening Volunteers support the maintenance of our gardens across both centres on Tuesdays (10:30am -12pm at the Stress Project), Wednesdays (1-3pm at the Old Fire Station), and Thursdays (1:30-3pm at the Stress Project).
handyperson
Holloway Neighbourhood Group need a volunteer handyperson to help keep our community centre and our therapy centre safe and in good condition for our service users who visit to learn new skills, reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing.
You will put your existing DIY and decorating skills and experience to good use by undertaking odd jobs at the Old Fire Station and Stress Project buildings. You will need an understanding of health and safety.

digital skills helper
We provide free Digital Inclusion support to a range of individuals who are mainly elderly or experience stress and anxiety. As a Digital Skills Helper, your role will be to provide face-to-face, one-to-one support sessions, under supervision of the Digital Inclusion Team. You will usually be helping with online shopping, digital safety, social media, banking, access to online entertainment, video calling, etc.
ARTS AND CRAFTS VOLUNTEER
At our busy and vibrant community centre we run an Art for Wellbeing programme that offers free sessions to vulnerable adults, older people and people experiencing stress and anxiety. The purpose of these sessions is to absorb people in the process of being creative in order to enable them to take time away from their daily lives and concerns and to develop their creativity as an outlet for skilled personal expression and enjoyment. As an Arts and Crafts Volunteer, you will share your skills and enthusiasm for your practice in leading your own taster sessions or by supporting sessions run by our Arts tutors.
