In this weeks art-for-wellbeing class our artist Serena, who facilitates the group, will guide you to bring
empowering narratives to life. Starting from the creation of a physical place (indoor or outdoor) we will tell a story that involves past or future events, memory or imagination.
Taking inspiration from examples of artworks that communicate empowering narratives we will discover ways to create our own ones. We will learn from the work of the contemporary Argentinian artist Hyuro, from the afghan artist Shamsia Hassani and from a number of female illustrators of the open directory “Women who draw”.
We will empower ourselves by accessing the work of empowering women artists who make a difference in their field and communities through their artistic work. Inspiring many others to grow, they become the best version of themselves and create a healthy culture that fulfils people’s real needs and desires while also shaping the reality around them.
The art class, with Serena is every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Please click here for more details.
